So it seems all our friends and everyone we know is chatting about Birkenstocks and weighing up their merit as a credible summer footwear choice.
Ever since that Céline campaign this humble flat sandal has been the talk of the town. And now it’s showing up on the feet of real people.
I don’t think I can adopt the Amish style sandal since all my hippy aunts are fans. But then, I see pictures like these - and I’m swayed.
Stripes and red nails always do it for me so it’s very hard to ignore the prettiness of Rag-Pony’s snap.
Then Brighton-based blogger Style Memos posted a picture on Instagram doing monochrome chic and more of my resolve slips away.
The final nail is these grey and pink doozies for €59.95. What can I say: I’m a sucker for two tone.
Tell us, will you be hopping on the Birkenstock bandwagon?

Ha :) I'm not afraid to out myself as a fan of the Gizeh. And my shiny purple pair goes great with a glossy red pedi.
I don't have a pair & never had but I really am tempted to pur-chayse a pair of the toe-post's in black.
Also a fan of the Gizeh Niamh have had my pair since early noughties (the last time they had a fashion moment).. in my books it's a resounding yes to Birkies. However, don't get me started on my hatred of 'Fit-flops' different thing entirely.
The pink and grey ones are actually really cute. I never thought I'd like a pair of Birkenstocks but I suppose people change.
