Hollywood-slash-ships searchlights have been popping in editorials for a few years now
Adding this season to his usual offering of neutral textiles, this lighting piece from the Paul Costello Living range for Dunnes Stores caught my eye.
These old-school Hollywood-slash-ships searchlights have been popping in editorials for a few years now while industrial's been such a huge trend in interiors. While you can source a repro or an original on eBay for cheaper, heading to your local Dunnes and easily grabbing one for €200 is also a pretty attractive prospect.
This is a decent take on the light, though a grille on the front would have been an ideal finisher. It's made from steel and wood; I'm interested to get a look at this in-store in mid-September to see what it's like in the flesh, get a proper sense of its dimensions and have a check on its construction.
