FEMINIST FILM FESTIVAL (in aid of Sasane, helping victims of sex trafficking in Nepal), Saturday, August 30th and Sunday, August 31st

Taking place this weekend, The Feminist Film Festival is happening at Dublin's The New Theatre, 43 Essex Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2, and all profits from the event will be going to Nepalese charity Sasane, which organiser Karla Healion came across on a backpacking trip recently. Supporting, training and educating victims of sex trafficking in Nepal, it's obviously a very worthy cause.

The event itself is gonna be a hot ticket too. In addition to old faves like Orlando and Persepolis, there's a fab-sounding Elaine Stritch doc (most recently famed for playing Jack Donaghy in 30 Rock's ma), and Fish Tank, a British production, among lots more. Tickets are on sale here, and this couldn't come at a better time, considering (among very many other things) Sofia Vergara's pedalasting at the Emmys.

"We believe it’s important to celebrate women in film who are so often under-represented in terms of film-makers and in crews, and misrepresented in terms of character portrayal and through stereotypical roles," Karla says. Word.

Wanna go?

We've got TWO sets of two tickets to Sunday 31st's 5.30pm Elaine Stritch documentary to give away and you'll be collecting on the door if you win. Here's how to get 'em.
